I upgraded my twinhead e10 to Maverick (clean install) and things worked beautifully "out of the box" (geode version installed by default is 2.11.9-5).
It booted up in 640x480 but after selecting 1024x600 (these are the only two options, fine by me!) and then "Make default" & "apply" it now boots up with the correct resolution every time. And there was much rejoicing! Thanks everyone for your help, I really appreciate it.
