The Sintel movie can be a good test for this problem : http://www.sintel.org/wp-content/content/download.html The Full 2048 x 872 px mp4 surround 5.1 with srt subtiles (bottom of the page) is just fine.
After some tests, I have found this : - Install vdpau-va-driver, configure VLC to use GPU acceleration. - The video with subs plays perfectly. - Smplayer with vdpau : frames are dropped when a subtitle is drawn. - Gnome Mplayer with vdpau : frames are dropped when a subtitle is drawn. This may be a Mplayer specific bug. Can someone confirm this? -- dropped frames using vdpau https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661170 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libvdpau in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
