Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

This is for Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop i386.
When typing in an xterm I get artifacts making it hard to read what you type.
When I switch to another window and then back the errors are corrected but when
I continue typing new errors show where new characters are printed.
Since gnome-screenshot crashes when I try to snapshot such a window I can't
provide a snapshot. (it works fine with other windows).
This is a Compaq 6510b Laptop with (from lspci):
00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Mobile PM965/GM965/GL960 Memory
Controller Hub (rev 0c)
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960
Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 0c)
The bug can be reproduced by booting the install disk (i386) and lunching an
xterm.
The errors don't show up in other terminal emulators I tested.

** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
