** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg I have several problems with brightness control on my HP Compaq 6715s since Maverick. I haven't had any of these problems in Lucid except for one. The problems are: (1) Brightness lowers itself after a while and does not switch back to the level it had before when you move the mouse. Until I installed todays updates for Maverick this worked without problems. (2) When problem (1) occured or sometimes without problem (1) occuring it is not possible to raise brightness to its maximum level. You can sometimes get it to its maximum if you lower the level and increase it a few times. (3) Sometimes brightness can not be increased. Same workaround as in (2) helps: lower and try to increase it a few times. + (4) When unplugging power supply brightness decreases like it should but + it does not go back to the previous level when you plug it back in. + Please let me know if you need any more information or logs.
