Hi Rovanion The default settings has been set by the upstream by a lot of thought process. The default behavior or settings has to such that it covers a majority of touchpads without any extra configuration and as of I know there are many laptops that has a touchpad without multitouch support. Emulation doesn't generate that experience in any way.
Because there are many users who want to have their own tastes and configuration they have provided a good enough and easy interface for that. However the default settings is a discretion of the developers who have chosen in the very right of all. So even requesting them of such a choice for changing the default settings , isn't a good idea, in that sense I'm closing this bug report. However if you have a very strong thought that you can personally convince them, I will advice you to personally contact them rather that waiting here in a bug report. Thanks Keep filing bugs, to make ubuntu better!! ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- trackpad-doublefinger-scroll https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/487749 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
