Hi Rovanion

The default settings has been set by the upstream by a lot of thought
process. The default behavior or settings has to such that it covers a
majority of touchpads without any extra configuration and as of I know
there are many laptops that has a touchpad without multitouch support.
Emulation doesn't generate that experience in any way.

Because there are many users who want to have their own tastes and
configuration they have provided a good enough and easy interface for
that. However the default settings is a discretion of the developers who
have chosen in the very right of all. So even requesting them of such a
choice for changing the default settings , isn't a good idea, in that
sense I'm closing this bug report. However if you have a very strong
thought that you can personally convince them, I will advice you to
personally contact them rather that waiting here in a bug report.

Thanks
