André: No problem. I'm not a programmer, and I am generally a late adopter. Plus, I try to stick as much as possible to sort of mainstream hardware. After eight years as a desktop Linux user, this was the first problem I ever came across that someone had not already provided a solution/workaround, so I am tickled to have finally had an opportunity to contribute something back.
I am using a Dell Latitude D531 for e-mail, word-processing, and other basic activities. Video performance was only an issue for me as far as aesthetics are concerned.
