I'm having this problem on my HP Pavilion dv7, as I did on my HP
Pavilion dv6. I'm currently using Isadora 10 64-bit with kernel
2.6.35-23-generic, (and I experienced the same problem with normal
Ubuntu Maverick 64-bit). I can change the brightness as normal using the
fn keys and with the normal Gnome or KDE gui tools, but every time I
reboot, the display is again at minimum brightness. I don't think I've
ever NOT experienced this problem with Ubuntu. It's a minor
inconvenience, but it's an annoyance I'd like to see fixed.
