Looks like it's a problem ubuntugis' osgearth when the globe plugin is built
with limited symbol visibility ie. -fvisibility=hidden
-fvisibility-inlines-hidden.

Doesn't happen without, doesn't happen with the nightlies (built with debugging
symbols), does only affect amd64 and doesn't happen with ubuntu's regular
osgearth either.
