Vihar proposed the following answer:
The last line of the input tells me that may be you didn't close Update Manager
or Synaptic Manager before trying to update by Terminal. The same tells me the
"mismatch" in the fourth and fifth lines of the output.
Is it so? If yes try again in Terminal
sudo apt-get upgrade
and please post it here if it is different from the already posted.
