Ok so the wireless device is installed and drivered up. Signal quality
isn't great (28%) but it will work.

ok if you use the network manager to connect to the ssid "wihome" then
you will be asked for the key to connect to it (WEP / WPA / whatever).
Your static IP will then be usable.

If you have any other restrictions on your connection (MAC filtering
etc) then this will also need addressing.

The hard bit has been done though as the adapter in your system is
working great :D
