RayArdia is still having a problem:
I'm sure the upgrade ran completely.
On restarting /var/log says "inspecting /boot/System.map 2.6 24-24 generic,
then starts OK. Running Hardware test produces same result as before. Using
Alt+sysrq+k does nothing, Ctrl+Alt+Backspace doesn't work either. Have left the
laptop with a black screen and await your further help, if you'd be so kind.
