Synaptic Manager or Add/Remove do it in intelligent way. Just find your
applications there and mark them for uninstall. They always solve the
dependencies after remooving a package and you can see before that what
exactly is removing.
Otherwise look in terminal the help for these two commands:
man dpkg
man apt-get
--
