Question #78122 on Ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78122
Tom proposed the following answer: Yes, i've heard that ext4 is significantly faster now at certain functions but people are still wary of it's long-term stability for data - the only real test being to wait and see what happens as it gets used by normal users in the real world lol I've heard that reiserfs is also an excellent system but might be worth steering clear of for a few years as the project team leader is away for a while. Although existing systems should be fine i wouldn't setup a new one except for fun and curiosity - at least until it becomes clear what's happening with their project team. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
