Vadim Radionov gave more information on the question: -Try the old kernel, see how you go. If its ok. Uninstall the newest kernel as it is no good to you and you will gain 100Mb space The kernel update was from 2.6.24-24.55 to 2.6.24-24.56. There are no two different boot options for them in GRUB menu.
