simonmickelson proposed the following answer: yeah paltalk express is in beta stages and will work on ubunto you must download some sun microsystems software and it works fine I use this for debate room and am back on XP I wiped my windows xp on this machine and used ubuntu and found far too many issues trying to use paltalk on ubuntu aka I could here in paltalk express beta version but I could not talk on the mic ! this was simply not good enough for me as I like to talk on the mic. soooo I re wiped my PC and put XP back on oh well so sad too bad ubuntu. more so paltalk ought to pick up thier game and get with the program and develop thier program for paid paltalk custormers to be able to use linux !!
