Question #78218 on Ubuntu changed: https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78218
leoquant proposed the following answer: The firewall is iptables. It is installed but not active. Frontends to enable iptables are ufw, gufw. If you are running a desktop environment, it is not directly needed to enable iptables, because ubuntu comes with a zero open ports policy. A antivirus program is not needed on linux, because there no active, and relevant linuxvirus(es) known at the moment. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
