Troydei proposed the following answer: Here's what worked for me on an Ubuntu machine and a Linux Mint (quasi Ubuntu). The printer was found on the network and set up using the IP address and port 9100. i.e "socket://192.168.1.28:9100" The default driver for this machine did not work for my machines. What does work is choosing the following driver.
