actionparsnip proposed the following answer:
try:
sudo apt-get clean; sudo apt-get update; sudo depmod -a; sudo apt-get -f
install
if ubuntu proposes you can update you don't have to specify every update
you want to get, you simply run:
sudo apt-get upgrade
If there were 30 updates would you specify each individual package for
update in the same manner? Highly unlikely and massively unfeasible.
