You *could* maybe find some of your installed programs '.deb'-packages
in /var/cache/apt/archives/.

But it is strongly not recommended to install some $packages.deb, which
were not made for your current version of Ubuntu. There's a reason for
new versions... ;)

Things could really get complicated and it can really damage your system
'cause of changing lib-versions and dependencies and so on.
