I seem to have an issue quite similar to the following question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/7688 There are some slight differences. First, I running Hardy (8.04). Second, this issue appears to occur more than 50-80% of the time; it always happen on cold boots, and 75-80% on hard resets. Third, I am unable to login via ssh after this issue occurs.
