Question #78138 on Ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78138
tabun posted a new comment: WebMail such as Hotmail and GMail work fine; and with a little configuring, Hotmail can be set up to check my POP mail accounts (or I can use the WebMail option from my ISP). I just lose the ability to use the Thunderbird program interface itself because of port limitations. The same goes for IM apparently, and torrenting for sure! However, using remote-control software for my home PC via a Web-Interface takes care of all the limitations imposed by the tethered connection. Since I can do anything that my home PC can do, I feel as if I'm sitting in front of my home PC. Thanx for your continued interest and feedback regarding this issue, I hope that, through our communications, others may garnish ideas or answers to their own tethering issues. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
