Also after trying to update to 9.04 Update Manager will not install any other updates Simply please remove this 3 row at the top of the file deb cdrom:[Ubuntu 9.04 _Jaunty Jackalope_ - Release i386 (20090420.1)]/ jaunty main restricted deb cdrom:[Ubuntu 8.10 _Intrepid Ibex_ - Release i386 (20081029.5)]/ intrepid main restricted deb cdrom:[Ubuntu 8.04 _Hardy Heron_ - Release i386 (20080423)]/ hardy main restricted to do this Open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type: sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.
