Question #78137 on rhythmbox in ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+question/78137

Rob proposed the following answer:
BTW. An other option is to install VLC. This will play everything after
installation. No extra plug ins needed.

The other thing is. If you open a file like MP3, MPEG or whatever in
Totem, it will automaticaly search for the right codec on the net for
you.

That´s all. If you don´t beleive me just go with the very complicated
way to install what Marcobra suggested.
