Rodney is still having a problem:
I've been trying to understand this with little success. Again, here is the
output of fdisk and I think the system is seeing both disks. Is that not so?
Am I interpreting it right that
the last entry (/dev/sdb1) is the smaller disk? If so, I want to reformat it
to be used to store data on that I will want to physically remove from the
system by removing the drawer that the hard drive is mounted in. I'm not sure
how to do that. Do I reformat to a specific type file or ???. Do I have to
mount that drive then so that Ubuntu sees it when I go to “Place>Computer”? If
so, how. Thanks for putting up with my ignorance. Rodney
