I updated from Jaunty to Karmic Alpha 3. I installed GRUB2 from Synaptic. I have confirmed that GRUB2 works on my PC as I can see it as an option in my original GRUB and can boot to OSes using it. Now I want to get rid of the original GRUB. Following the steps on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Grub2 did not work.
