I just use the "Quick Search" box in the package manager. It says
they're on 2.4.4-1 as a debian; which is why I often download the latest
version as a source file and install it from that. Lately, I've tried
to convert some of those to debian files using apt-build, but my first
attempt wasn't all that successful, which might be why we don't have the
latest version of everything. (Too difficult to create a debian file.)
