Pablo Rubianes proposed the following answer:
In order to install Ubuntu in your win XP you have to put the ubuntu cd in your
Pc on with your windows xp running, then the windows of wubi will pop up and
you have to put "Install within windows"and wubi will ask you the amount of
disk space you want to give to ubuntu , the root password(dont you ever forget
of this!!) and the language that you would like to use.
After wubi do some stuff your computer will restart, let the cd inside your pc,
when the computer restarts a grub menu will ask you if you want to use Windows
or ubuntu, choose Ubuntu.
The first time you run Ubuntu, the instalation will finish, it is an automatic
process.
when the instalation is over you will have to put your user ans password (the
one you have put before)
In order to do things easy for you I recomend you to uninstall the ubuntu you
have install and start from the begining.

Hope this help you, any other question please let us know.
