Hi.
When you uninstall sane-backends is the firmware removed? Or does it
stay in /usr/local/share/sane/snapscan?
Does it work to just unplug and plug back in your scanner? What about
unplugging the scanner, rebooting, rebooting again and plugging the
scanner in?
