New question #78961 on Ubuntu: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78961
I have a usb to parallel cable that uses the 7715 Moschip Semiconductor chipset. This cable is not recogonized by the kernel. In looking at the kernel source for mos7720.c it appears that this chip is supported. HOWEVER the usb_device_id table in the module only has the 7720 chip listed. Can the 7714 chip support be enabled by adding an entry to the usb_device_id table?
