New question #78972 on Ubuntu: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78972
This is my first try of a linux package and I have downloaded ubumtu 9.4 the update manager gives me this message; Not enough free disk space The upgrade needs a total of 389M free space on disk '/'. Please free at least an additional 289M of disk space on '/'. Empty your trash and remove temporary packages of former installations using 'sudo apt-get clean'. '/' drive I presume means I have not selected a drive to save to?? But i am unable to find where or how to rectify this I have even tried reducing the number of packets to install but it still gives me the same message I have no trash to clean, my hard drive still has 200gb spare. I did allow umbuntu to auto select the partitions, was this a mistake? I had window xp home pre-installed before installing this -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
