Here is what you have to do: First of all, open up a terminal window, then... a) sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf [ENTER] b) under the line 'Section “Screen” replace Virtual 2048x720 in to Virtual 2048x2048 - that will grant you a higher and nativ resolution to choose from. c) save and close the terminal d) restart your machine.
