When you click "Apply" that should leave quite a lot of empty space on
your drive? How much space do you have? Could you move sda1 to the end
of the drive? Then make a new partition at the beginning of the drive
but just make it 1048 Mb Primary Partition and set it's 'file-system' =
linux-swap
