Ramnath requested for more information: I am facing the same problem since I installed Ubuntu 9.04 with FF 3.0.8 on a nvidia machine. Does not open any secure sites like banking sites, website managment sites etc. No error message is displayed, however the site keeps on loading and after sometime, I get a timeout message. I noticed just now, the problem extends to Launchpad site also. I had to post it from another machine SSL and TLS is enable, proxy is set at No Proxy. I have tried deleting cert8.db file but it did not help No firewall is enabled. The same version works ok on another machine which has a intel chipset. I have been using Kubuntu 8.0 till date and never had any problem.
