Great point.  I don't really know what direction we're going to take in
the future, but we have been just sticking with the ubuntu stuff because
it's easier.  Making lots of dependency changes can cause lots of
unexpected issues, and it's a massive headache.  If we determine that we
want to use the GNOME applications, this will be something that we do
several months from now, as there are more pressing issues at the
moment.

  Install GNOME default applications instead of Ubuntu ones

Status in Ubuntu Gnome Remix Metapackages:

Bug description:
  This might sound a bit bold, but if UGR is to be ubuntu's GNOME 3
  distribution, maybe it should try to stick to GNOME's default
  applications, and thus install Epiphany by default instead of Firefox,
  and Rhythmbox instead of Banshee.
