BTW, having gnome-software show only packages with valid appstream metadata 
seems so bad.  The appstream support in package is imho still too incomplete to 
have such a change in a LTS.
In my debianish idea of stable update fixing such bug in a stable release would 
be bad, but I guess it'll have to be done...
