hmm.
1. the bug report explicitly mentions that the bug was found in Ubuntu 18.04.
2. after that, a fix was committed to the upstream repository
3. a fixed upstream version was released shortly afterwards

now, Ubuntu uses the model of "Stable Releases". This means, that once Ubuntu
18.04 is released,
will no longer be upgraded, except for security critical or very major bugs.

this bug was considered neither, hence no new version was upload to
Ubuntu 18.04.

Ubuntu 20.04 (and later) contain csladspa_1:6.11.1-1build1 (or later,
but at the time of writing it's that version), which contains the
bugfix.

so the solution for you is to upgrade your Ubuntu.

Title:
csladspa make Hydrogen crash on startup

Status in csound package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Not sure this is the right place to report this, but from the considered
package page:
  https://packages.ubuntu.com/bionic/csladspa
the "bug report" link brings me here, so here I go.

I have encountered a crash that seems related to csladspa when running
Hydrogen:
It stopped starting with a memory allocation problem, that looks very similar
to this:
  https://github.com/csound/csladspa/issues/1
But I post this bug report because, although the issue is claimed to be
solved, it is **still there** with Ubuntu 18 !

Doing `sudo apt remove csladspa` made the problem disappear.

  OS: Ubuntu studio 18.04

More details on the relevant Hydrogen issue (got closed, because a solution
was found):
  https://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen/issues/813

**Question**: should I report this on
  https://github.com/csound/csladspa/ too ? Whats the best ?
