Using System > Administration > Hardware Drivers (aka jockey), disable the
Nvidia driver.

Bug description:
9.04 amd94 default setup (no additional audio nor video nor 3D packages).
The system hardlocks in 2-3 minutes after start, hard reset needed.

MB: ASUS P5P43TD PRO
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
RAM: 4GB 1333 GHz
HDD: 2x Seagate ST3750528AS (RAID1)
Video: NVidia 9800GT
No overclocking.

I cannot install newer 9.10 because of this bug:
