Hey Team,

Well today is the lucid feature definition freeze and according to the
release schedule (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LucidReleaseSchedule) we're a week
away from Alpha 1's release. That means we need to test the alpha ISO
before it is released. If you haven't already done so, please take a brief
read through the basic and brief instructions here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuStudio/TaskDVDTesting The images are released
there for testing a couple days in advance. I'm working on getting
notification e-mails sent to this list, but there's no guarantee just yet (I
may need to manually forward them for now).

Also on December 13th at 7pm (19:00) UTC in #ubuntu-meeting on
irc.freenode.net there is the monthly Ubuntu Studio developer's meeting. I
encourage all testers to drop by and listen/read (or even contribute).
Minutes and agenda will be posted at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuStudio/Meetings/ if you'd like to take a look
at what new/changing features we should focus our testing on.

On another note, I think it's high time we start planning how we go about
testing Ubuntu Studio. I've started outlining some of this at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuStudio/Testing but I really don't want to plan
this myself. I also don't want to tell you how to do your testing. So
please edit those pages openly and freely with your best thoughts on
creating a stable and reliable Ubuntu Studio.
