This description resembles a kernel issue. Which kernel are you using? You can find out from `cat /proc/version*' in a Terminal/xterm. Please attach the output from that command (no quotes) in a response here.

The only way to get the sound going again is to reload the Youtube Video. Then its a matter of touching no keys / leaving the mouse alone, to hear the entire song through - frustrating ! This on 10.10, just installed. I also notice that Gnome Alsa Mixer forgets the last settings when this Bug occurs. Is there a save command on any of the Alsa mixers ??
