Title:
IN U/STUDIO 10.10 MEERKAT, SOME SCREENS TAKEOVER THE DESKTOP
Status in Ubuntu Studio Project:
Invalid
Bug description:
This has happened in prior versions of various Ubuntu flavors,
but got fixed.
Now I upgraded to U/Studio 10.10 it has reappeared.
For example, an eBay photo page will go to full desktop size, but then stick
in that state. This then
prevents any further access to the window control buttons at thje top right
(minimise,maximise and
remove (i.e "-", "_" and "X"). This makes the whole computer unusable - have
to reBoot to use it again.
I can get out of it partially by right-clicking and then clicking "View Page
Source" (or "Info").
This gives me access to the Tabs again so I can carry on, but the situation
remains
unresolved until reboot.
I found that the "Fullscreen" button (F11) could be pushed to remedy this, but
its very unobvious.
Maybe it needs some annunciation that FullScreen Mode is in Play.
(Say a different cursor, or something like that).
Or have full screen selected in a definite way - bumping F11
is too easy as its above Backspace key.
Thanks
Ken
