Running ubuntustudio 12.04 here. Xine plays cds directly, totem mounts cd as wav files and plays them, audacious plays the wav files as mounted by nautilus. To play a cd in totem I insterted the cd, started totem and selected movie->play disk 'Audio disk'.
an audio cd should not be mountable with the cli mount command anyway. So this is not a generic problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Studio Testers, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Studio. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051888 Title: Audio CD's won't mount Status in Ubuntu Studio Project: New Bug description: Mounting Audio CD's stopped working. Filemanager says: "Location is not Mountable" mount in terminal says: "mount: can't find /dev/sg1 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab" ISO data disc will mount without problems, and VLC can read the audio CD seamlessly. Hence this is not a very big issue. But Movie Player (totem) will not play them anymore ("location is not mountable" msg here too), and since VLC dosen't come with ubuntustudio by default, it is a bit confusing. edit: couldn't find where to enter the version: 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntustudio/+bug/1051888/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntustudio-testers Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntustudio-testers More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
