shapefile renderer is from the geotools code base, indeed 2.2.M2 was
released a day before uDig 1.1 - the download links are available here:

So first question: Where to get the sources for the jars used in
net.refractions.udig.libs.*?
The source code for the stuff in net.refractions.udig.libs is all over
the web I am afraid. All of those jars represent open source projects
(okay so there probably is a jdbc drivers or two).
