The API changed slightly for operations.  I made a mistake when I changed the API and broke backwards compatibility.  In fact as we speak I realize another mistake with regards to backwards compatibility that I made :P  I'll have to fix that as well.  haha.

Any ways, you shouldn't have to worry about that in the tutorial.
