We are releasing uDig 1.1.M4 today. The greatest change is a more consistent Styling work flow. In other words, the Change Style dialog has theming functionality, the standard uDig style editor that has always been part of the application and and text based XML style editing functionality for the brave. The theming editor has had numerous tweaks and bug fixes since the last release. Another useful feature that has matured since the last release is the Style Export option. Geoserver users will be happy to hear that SLD documents exported from uDig can now be directly imported into Geoserver, making Goeserver configuration that much simpler. We've also added some Rendering Preferences so users can specify whether Anti-aliasing and/or transparency is used during map rendering. This is a choice between performance and appearance. Both options improve the appearance of the output maps but greatly slow the map creation process. The default map projection can also be configured by the user. Please let me know what you think "good" defaults are. udig-1.1.M4.exe
