We need to find the other email with the replacement for 
PointSymbolizer, attached the file again:

I detached the .sld file and tried to import it, I also did a cut and 
paste,
I guess I am still missing something 

And neither worked for you?

Some bugs are surfacing! I've fixed most except for the invalid XML/SLD 
bug concerning PointSymbolizers with the "WellKnownName" element.

Using the *latest* build and the uDig sample data, I successfully styled 
bc-pubs with uDig icons.  Attached is the screenshot and the SLD -- 
within the "Change Style" dialog, both copy-pasting the SLD into the XML 
page and importing the SLD file worked well -- remember to hit "Apply".

Any luck?  ...and if not, what feedback (errors) are you getting, and 
what are you connecting to?  (it is a WFS, rather than a WMS?)
