No, we can't do this "as they are encoutered" because we don't have the
usual method of having an "attach source" button when the .class is
displayed.

Somehow we need to define the location of the source code when working
in the workspace ?project? preference page...
Window->Preferences->Plug-in development->TargetPlatform-> 'source code
locations' tab. If the Location: entry on the "Target Platform"
preference page points to the SDK directory, the "Source Code Location"
tab, very nicely, has the three uDig src directories open.

Note that in Eclipse 3.2 the "Target Platform" dialog has
changed from that in the SDK quickstart:
http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/DEV/0+SDK+Quickstart
so I'm guessing a bit when it comes to defining the various
        pieces.

How do I go from a geotools-src zipball to something I can present to
Eclipse on this page and have the source picked up?

I note that on the "Target Platform" page, there is now a "pre-defined
targets" entry. The two targets that are available are 'RCP(binary)' and
'RCP(with source)' so it seems that Eclipse is enforcing this split at
the target level. It would be cool simply to add a udig(binary) or
udig(with source) here.

Not really sure about this,
