This release features a switch to the Eclipse RCP 3.2 platform from Eclipse 3.1 RCP. The primary benefits of this change are as follows:
- A number of SWT bugs are fixed, for example on Mac OSX the text fields are now large enough for the text.
- There are many many many new fun SWT tricks that can be played, from animated GIFs to customized selections in tables and trees to images and text on a button.
- There are also many new features that programmers will be interested in.
- On Linux Cairo now works on all recent distributions so we now only have a single MapEditor implementation that we have to maintain, which means less bugs.
There were also a few critical bug fixes that have been fixed.
