I would like to figure out how to go about changing the first two items
listed below. My initial thought would be to write up a design, get
agreement, and then (after getting some time to work on it) go ... But
since the first two items were requested some months ago, and did not
get much in the way of comment I am going to try something else, to see
if will work out for us.
I will:
1. write up the interfaces
2. and some test cases
3. and ask for review.
(This is just an alternative to a proposal)
If there are no complaints and myself or someone else has time we can then
4. hook it into the code base.

So as part of coming back into the fold of uDig development I am
finally getting to try out uDig as a framework I sent some email out
last month (about IResolveAdapterFactory) and another one about
hooking into resolving at the Layer level (ie how a feature source is
connected to a transaction currently).
Here is the list of changes I would like to implement over the course
of next week:
- association between WMS and WFS (and for my needs a POJO service),
so Catalog.find( URL, IProgressMonitor) will finally return a list
- extension resources configuration at the layer level
- selection propagation
The last point is a bit more interesting (and related to todays
email). I need to ensure that a selection made against a WFS is
propagated into a selected POJO object that other tools and views can
interact with.
I expect all of these changes to be a good sanity check on the design
of IResolve and ILayer.
