We have released uDig RC5!!!
There were two major focus' for this release:?
1. Performance.? In particular creating/viewing maps with many layers but
also some significant improvements with regards to the number of paints and
screen updates.
2. Fixing errors that occur intermittently and are difficult to
reproduce.? One such example is the Layers View would occasionally get out of
sync with the layers actually in the map.
There are too many other bug fixes to list here but a few others
are:
- Fixed missing line bug when rendering shapefiles
- Titles are now shown in Catalog View
- Search Function will no longer hang the application (it was a random
event previously) when adding layers and is cancelable.
- Fixed bugs with exporting layers as shapefiles
- Added a warning when deleting maps so maps are less likely to
be?inadvertently deleted.
