You can always just use GeoTools directly to attack the file ... no
reason to tell uDig (or the catalog) unless you are ready.

Hi,
The shapefile is not in the catalog yet, i would like to work with 2 shapefiles
at the same time. But i can only get one of them(if it is in the catalog).
So i was wondering if there is a way to get one of them without being
necessarily in the catalog.
